HOPE

This photograph was taken in 2007—so long ago. I always knew there would come a time when it would be crucial to share its message.
That time is now.
I hope the USA can find a way back.
I hope we can forgive each other and release our grievances.
I hope each of us can breathe again—fully, freely, without fear.
I hope we can nurture our compassion for every individual, no matter their story.
I hope each of us can rise as leaders in our own communities.
I hope the young and the old from all walks of life can discover hope again.
I hope we can find a way back to one another.
