We Must Try
This moment boggles my mind.
Hatred—Lies—Terror—Chaos.
Can’t think, can’t focus.
But tell myself I must.
Just a slight glance to the side—
I can still see it, feel it.
So much beauty
in this world,
always there
despite.
Jane Goodall’s wonderful wisdom:
"We’re going through very dark times:
socially, politically and
especially environmentally.
If you think globally,
you get really depressed,
so act locally.
Each one of us makes
some impact...every single day."
I hold onto this.
Remembering beauty
and kindness.
And the gentle people.
This helps.
Inspires. Uplifts.
Pushing me forward
towards the tenderness
of this incredibly scary,
yet sacred moment.
We each can make
profound, life-saving
differences through
everyday actions at this time.
More kindness.
More compassion.
More understanding.
We must try for ourselves.
And for others.
🌿
We must at least try.
