We Are Not Flying Alone
We may feel like we are flying alone at this time of crisis in our country, but we are not. There is a collective level of stress among all of us, no matter how we view the changes our country is experiencing. So many of us are trying to find our voices to express our fears, disappointments, and hopes for the future. There is a collective holding of breath, a waiting that can feel paralyzing.
What if, instead of engaging online, we began a conversation with the person closest to us—no matter how painful it is. Perhaps if we let a moment pass between us before reacting, we might find some common ground on something—anything. Maybe this could make a difference.
In the end, we are all Americans. We are all proud. We all want our American rights. We all want to feel safe and secure. We all want our future and our children’s futures to feel hopeful. We all want this stress to diminish!
To be open to each other again…let this be the healing from which we move forward.
🌿 May it be so.
