The Emptiness

DV4

I try to quiet my mind- focus on the good...enjoy the love between family and friends and neighbors. But there remains an emptiness that leaves me gut punched and depleted.

The depravity, the cruelty and the withering away of morals and kindness, let alone any sliver of compassion is too damn much. To watch my nation’s democracy fall is something I never thought possible. I muster up HOPE for the future. Perhaps it will be better. Perhaps. But we have the excruciating task of waiting to see how it will all unfold.

🌿 May we have patience and perseverance to do what we can, when we can. RESIST!
