Tangled and Mangled
Just as nature thrives in unlikely places, so too can we.
During the pandemic, I created a series of images titled Tangled and Mangled. At that time, the world felt chaotic, fragile, and upside down. Under this rising authoritarianism today, it feels even more tumultuous with the additional elements of intimidation, suppression and unbelievable cruelty. We know democracies can wither and die under such dark oppression yet nature is always a reminder that even in the most twisted, chaotic circumstances, we have to keep growing and moving towards the light - we must to survive. There are countless good, kind, and compassionate people—people like you and me—who continue to illuminate injustice and bring resilience and hope. Together, we keep pushing forward. 🌿 These are dark entangled times but we cannot give up.
