Seismic Shift
Kidnapping the president of Venezuela.
Upon reading the latest news of what this unhinged regime did, my body felt a seismic shift. I knew immediately that the lawful order of the world had shifted - its implications staggering. And my government did this!
Perhaps, I tell myself, it needs to get extremely bad before USA citizens realize we are headed towards a dead end. I know this is a feeble attempt to make myself feel better. We seem doomed to repeat our sins over and over again. But are we?
Finding balance to navigate all of this is the trick - breathe, focus, etc. Not an easy task on this 4th day of 2026. Once again I remind myself and others, be in the present moment, show kindness, keep resisting injustice in anyway possible, and enjoy the blessings of today. Tomorrow, we may not have this luxury.
